Welcome to the Maccabee Catholic...

The Maccabee Catholic is primarily a Roman Catholic (and Judeo-Christian) Website intended to provide information, links, analysis, study tools and other resources for researchers, academics, and any other scholars (or curious readers) to utilize for the online study, research, and interpretation of the Maccabees. In order to fully assist anyone and everyone interested in understanding the Maccabees, and the profound influence of their unique Judeo-Christian traditions, a large assortment of relevant material has been collected and organized.

In particular, the Maccabee Catholic comes equipped with the full texts (and in-depth interpretations) of the First Book of the Maccabees (I Maccabees in the Old Testament), the Second Book of the Maccabees (II Maccabees in the Old Testament), as well as the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Book of the Maccabees (III, IV, V Maccabees in the Biblical Apocrypha), along with many other historically important, and religiously significant, texts related to the Maccabees.

In addition to publishing a number of original and up-to-date commentaries upon the state of affairs affecting the English-Speaking Catholic Church here in the United States, the Maccabee Catholic also contains a complete, comprehensive set of summaries on the History, Scriptures, Doctrine, and Theology of Roman Catholicism as it pertains to the Maccabees.
