The Knights Templar and the Curse of 1,000 Years

When Jacque (Jack) De Molay, the last Grandmaster of the Knights Templar, was arrested on Friday the 13th, 1307 then convicted on false charges and burnt at the stake on Friday the 13th, along with many of his fellow Christian Knights, he vowed eternal revenge. He reassured his fellow Knights, who were being framed for insanely disgusting Occult rituals that they had never even heard of and were obviously fabrications. Before his execution, he told his Christian brothers:

Let evil swiftly befall those who have wrongly condemned us - God will avenge us.

The case against de Molay and the Knights Templar involved numerous and obviously illegal court proceedings. In short, they were, quite literally, framed and convicted of some of the most absurd charges imaginable. Grand Master de Molay was frightened, astounded, and then enraged at the entire affair. In fact, he predicted he would be seeing the Pope and the King of France in front of the throne of God before the year's end.

As Wikipedia relates the matter, Grand Master Jacque De Molay openly cursed both the Pope and the King of France. He decried his execution and righteouslyinsisted upon his innocence, promising to appeal the conviction after his death 'to the living and true God, who is in Heaven'. De Molay also predicted that 'the pope...within a year and a day, [both] he and Philip IV would be obliged to answer for their crimes in God's presence.'

Was the curse real? Many believe it was. The historical facts speak for themselves because both the Pope and King followed de Molay to their own graves very quickly. Wikipedia writes: 'It is true that Philip and Clement V both died within a year of Molay's execution.' Coincidence? I doubt it. I very much doubt it, indeed...
